Paris Heretics is a creative label launched in 2020 with the aim of amplifying experimental expat artists, operating outside the lines in Paris, France. They publish books, produce video clips, and organize live multidisciplinary performances which employ text, sound art, video projection, and sometimes broken glass. Artists on the label include Alison Grace Koehler, who composes with glass shards on a light table while reciting her intimate verse, Carrie Chappell, whose poetry explores a theoretical affair with legendary saucy actress Tallulah Bankhead, while Tallulah’s ghost hovers in projection, Jason Stoneking, who gives one-time performances of cosmic psychedelic texts conceived uniquely for each reading, and Lesteria, who performs simultaneously as multiple versions of herself, in complex layers of audio and projection. In March 2023, the Heretics will be travelling together for the first time, in a series of international appearances.
