Every month the Vrije Bond Utrecht hosts an open event at ACU that anyone can attend with different monthly topics. This months topic is about Mad Pride, mental health and psychiatry.

“We’re going to talk about coercion in psychiatry and normalizing being different. Coercion should not be condoned under the guise of care, and especially not in a world where strange behavior is seen as the result of mental illness. The “act normal” culture of the Netherlands doesn’t offer room for people who are different, let alone neurodivergence.
Care should be done without coercion and with informed consent.”
