Come discuss queer books, have a drink, and make new friends 🌈✨ Together with Utrecht LGBT+, we’re facilitating a monthly book club. Specifically, we’re reading stuff by queer authors about queer things.

Our book for June will be Iron Widow by Xiran Jay Zhao, a 2021 young adult science fantasy novel. The novel is a mecha reimagining of the rise of China’s first and only female Emperor Wu Zetian set in the nation of Huaxia, a futuristic reinterpretation of Medieval China.

Everyone is welcome who has read the book by the time of the meetup. Meetings take place at ACU, a queer-friendly political-cultural centrum which resides in the city center.
