Lifeless Past
Lifeless Past from The Netherlands plays darkwave and post punk music which is inspired by the goth movement from the late 80’s.
This band is notorious for pulling their audience in an atmosphere that is both ominous and irresistibly alluring. The group’s unparalleled approach to postpunk music is characterized by its cold and groovy drums, cascading melodic guitars and dark wintery vocals.
In 2019 they released their debut album on the Polish label known as Batcave Productions. Their latest release is a compilation album that consists of material from their first 3 E.P’s. Their second album will be released in the fall of 2024 on the German Sabotage Records.
Nachtlicht
Wat zou er gebeuren als je de intensiteit van
post-punk en post-hardcore mengt met de catchiness van alternatieve rock, maar het voornaamste ingrediënt van die genres overboord gooit? Met die
gedachtegang beginnen Yordi Dam (zang, basgitaar, synths) en Richard van der Schaft (drums, synths) in 2022 de act Nachtlicht. Het duo uit Amsterdam en Hilversum zoekt juist zónder gitaar – het eerder genoemde ingrediënt – de grenzen op van het
smaakpalet waarin ze zich eerder in hun muzikale carrière vertrouwd mee hebben gemaakt. Enter Shikari meets Brutus, Deftones meets Linkin Park, Modern Life Is War meets Moderat: Nachtlicht gaat voor een ongehoorde blend van Nederlandstalige
rocksongs met een natuurlijke live-feel, omlijst door artificiële maar sfeervolle, vaak melancholische synthesizersounds.
Feral
Their music is a blitzkrieg of rapid-fire guitar riffs and pounding bass lines, creating an electrifying atmosphere that commands the dance floor. Despite their punk roots, FERAL’s tracks are irresistibly danceable, transforming their concerts into wild, kinetic parties.
They’re best experienced with the sweat of the person opposite flying at you, necks of bass guitars and mic stands inches from your face, the beat threatening to escape your chest.
Expect a crossover of LCD Soundsystem, Viagra Boys with sprinkles of Idles and Ohsees.
