Come discuss queer books, have a (non-alcoholic) drink, and make new friends 🌈✨ Together with Utrecht LGBT+, we’re facilitating a monthly book club. Specifically, we’re reading stuff by queer authors about queer things. Check out the event page on MeetUp and Queer Culture Festival Utrecht!
October’s book, written by Shirley Jackson, is a gothic horror classic with queer undertones.
Dr. Montague, an occult scholar, and his team — Theodora, his assistant; Eleanor, a fragile young woman with a close acquaintance with the paranormal; and Luke, the future heir of Hill House — conduct an unusual research project in a reputedly haunted house.
Everyone is welcome who has read the book (or DNF, and is okay with spoilers) by the time of the meetup. Meetings take place at ACU, a queer-friendly political-cultural centrum which resides in the city center.
