ArtEZ Live Acts
Dance, performance, and popular spectacle by ArtEZ artists
This day is dedicated to performers who, while already positioning themselves within the professional field, seek to bring their work into dialogue with artistic research, bridging the gap between thinking and doing.
Each artist focuses on different aspects of the performative act, inviting us on a journey that moves from music and soundscape to movement and looping, from listening to stories to participation and active engagement with them.
As a spectator, you are free to shape your own experience and level of involvement. You decide when to arrive and how long to stay in the space; whether to move around and participate, or to sit back and enjoy your drink; whether to miss a performance or to engage with them all. At the end of each round, the performers invite you into a conversation, eager to hear your perspective.

J’accuse! – A Rehearsal for Solidarity (excerpt) – Zorka Marián
J’accuse! focuses on the asymmetry of risk standing in proximity to harm without bearing its consequences. Recognizing the fact that this position produces discomfort, it unsettles the belief that being informed/sympathetic is sufficient. Through a performance lecture format, the spectators are invited into situations that generate this discomfort.
The Fabric of Care – Marina Kolokouri
The Fabric of Care is part of an ongoing research project about how care and responsibility are shaped between people. It invites you to try out care with bodies, fabrics and small agreements that appear, and sometimes fail. You can move, place, hang or wear the cloths surrounding you, to shape a space that feels more or less comfortable or welcoming.
PenUmbra – Michail Pan
PenUmbra is an immersive sonic experience where field recordings, natural instruments, and synthesizers form an asynchronous environment. The work operates as a perceptual and ritual space, inviting listeners into expanded states of awareness and encounters with the infinite.
Ant mills: the phenomenon – Sofia Apostolidou & Lida Draganigou
Ant mills or “death spiral” is the phenomenon where ants lose their trail and follow each other in a continuously rotating, blind circle until they die of exhaustion. What causes this deviation and how is it to be trapped in an endless loop? The performance explores the fragile line between persistence and escape, where movement becomes both necessity and trap.
